Thank you! I'm especially relieved that you said what you did about the story steering away from sort of a clearly contained D/s kind of dynamic, because that was a big fear of mine. It *is* so much more complicated in my mind, and I had some people early on read it and use that word "fetishy" to describe Ronon's responses to John, which -- no! It was supposed to kind of feel that way to John, but the whole reason for casting it from Ronon's POV was to hopefully kind of dispell that explanation for the readers. They really are just coming out of very different cultural expectations of what the Good Man and the Good Soldier looks like, and both trying to maneuver the other into complying. So definitely, thanks for giving it some thought outside the box of kink-fic!
