It's a little fucked-up. *g* But only because they haven't worked their way through it yet! I'm with you: I think it has the potential to evolve into something that's much better for all of them than any of the separate relationships would be. I hope.
And the whole reason I love and adore fanfic is that it lets you slow down and go in for a pound where canon gives us a penny. I thought Ronon was the woah!hot from the beginning, but I think the point at which I just knew he was the character for me was that drunken moment in "Trinity" where he's all like my whole world isn't dead after all and looked like he was gonna cry and, yes. That was a perfect, tiny moment that you can only do with an actor, and this was my attempt to use what prose does well to riff on it and elaborate it.
