I'm SO glad you liked the rollcall! I dithered with it for a long time, because I loved the idea, but I was afraid it was ooc for Rodney, who's such a pragmatist, I thought he might not be willing to waste the time that could go toward a Profound Universal Breakthrough instead. But the story had this recurring idea of meditation, and what they all do or don't do or try to do to find peace, and I decided to go ahead and do it anyway because I loved the idea that Rodney's found a way to meditate that *looks* to the untrained eye like Very Important Work. And then when I was totally stuck for a visually interesting way to end the story, I had that idea of John doing it in his place, and I was so glad I kept it in there, because that worked on so many levels. But I still worried people would think it was ooc -- so I'm glad you didn't! *g*
