Since Jason Momoa comes up with most of his costume himself, I'd love to know what he was thinking.
I'm going to guess it was something like this:
1. Leather is cool! (because it is) 2. If a little of something is good, A LOT is better! (because he's a *boy*) 3. Since my normal-sized leather wristguards are good, GIANT, UNWIELDY armguards would totally be *better!*
I mock, but they are making me kinda hot. I feel certain that in any good and decent world, they would be built so that some of those rings hook together somehow. Above his head. Possibly then to a headboard somewhere. I mean, that's some serious hardware on those things! Tell *me* they're just for "decoration."
