WORD. I hated this episode with the white-hot fury of a thousand fiery suns. How I wish this Graying of Atlantis was deliberate on the part of the writers, that we're building towards some kind of denoument where the team realizes they are all supreme asshats, but I know it ain't gonna happen. Sometimes I wonder if the writers were the ones dropped on their heads and the characters on SGA are only a mirror to their creators.

Lazy, bad, STUPID writing! No biscuit! It was real obvious (both with Progeny and with SG-1's "Uninvited") that the creators were trying to save money after the budget-busting effects of "Sateda" and "Insiders" - and the 200th ep extravanganza - but I'd rather not have an episode at all than be served this unbelievable dreck.

Yeah, Ronon was hot. Yeah, the McShep was cute (to a point - WTF was up with Sheppard being an IDIOT? And annoying to boot - if I were Rodney I would have hauled off and slapped him the second time he was hanging over my shoulder & harassing me). Yeah, Sheppard's dream sequence under replicator-induced trance spoke volumes about his personality & inner life, yada yada yada. But the little moments that I halfway enjoyed so did not make up for the RAGE this episode induced in me, and the piling on of another helping of B/s onto SGA's characters & arc, such as it is.
