Okay, in casting my net for an unexpected fabulous idea, I got LIKE THIRTY OF THEM from you people. I am now having to make up extra scenes just to have something to do in all the locations I suddenly cannot live without!

I'm pretty sure the initial place we go to ground is going to have to be the day-care center -- because [livejournal.com profile] ubixtiz is totally right, seeing 6'4" men with armor and semi-automatics try to navigate tiny little furniture is never not funny, and also the mental image of goblins swarming the crayon-shaped fences and all those open windows to defend is fantastic. But many of you also wisely suggested that it should be someplace they can steal equipment from (I'm shocked at you all, shocked!), and OMG, I'm just trying to decide which of my characters needs to have the day job at RadioBarn (oh, [livejournal.com profile] millefiori, you don't know how I love you right now), with his cheap button-down shirt and his clip-on tie and the ability to liberate many, many digital cameras and zip drives from the cavernous back room. But also! Something in my soul positively sings over [livejournal.com profile] spankmonkeyjack's idea to simply rent space from the city, because wow, what's not entertaining about planning a guerrilla war against the Gentry with a fucking dry erase board and a cheap-ass Mr. Coffee Junior, across the hall from the Lamaze class and next door to the Hare Krishnas? Don't think *that's* not going to happen somewhere along the line. Also, the hair salon, and the Christmas tree nursery, and the seedy private gym with the boxing ring? Yes, yes, and yes, [livejournal.com profile] halimede, [livejournal.com profile] eruthros, and [livejournal.com profile] gwendolen.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] witchqueen? If I can get some phase of the plot to actually depend on possession of an eggbeater? That's all you, man.

Anyway. Hee. Thanks to lj, I no longer have to be creative at all! Wave of the future!

Cool. By the way, I don't know if I said so in my comment to your other post, or if it was implied, but I would like to be added to the novel filter if that's alright.

dropping by to say: just found your inara/river/mal fic and I am v. discouraged to see a lack of others at your website, since it's my very best favorite fic I've read in that fandom. can I bribe you to write more? because really, it was too beautiful.
