Great fic, especially the interactions between the characters, and John - his reaction was so very human!
And the final party was a fantastic reminder of the reasons why I love Atlantis - the sense of adventure, of going there and staying in spite of everything.
The Jeannie and Col. Carter things, along with the tape, were also very moving.

I loved this fic so much! Aliens-make-them-get-married is usually such a silly fluffy cliche, but you've turned it into something serious and meaningful - without losing that sense of fun and humour, which, wow.

I loved Ronon and Rodney's relationship, it felt really real, really true, and everyone else was wonderful too - poor confused John! Cadman! Even the little snippets of Sam and Jeannie, which managed to pack so much meaning and emotion into only a few paragraphs. I also really loved the little worldbuilding details you threw in, like the fact that on Sateda legal documents are signed with the non-dominant hand - little details like that add so much.

Um, yeah. Pretty much any kind of Rodney/Ronon fic makes the world a better place, but this fic was just - yeah. Thank-you.

This was wonderful. So wonderful! I want to wrap myself up in Rodney and Ronon!

This was awesome. I loved seeing Rodney and Ronon as a married couple, it was so sweet. I feel sorry for John, I get the feeling he's lost other friends in the past when they became couples, and he was afraid he'd lost Rodney and Ronon as well. The wedding was interesting, oh and all the sex was really hot and enjoyable to read. This had a nice flow to it, and the descriptions were good. I loved all of Rodney's lines, they were so perfect and so him, that I was cracking up the whole time. I wonder what that bedframe really was. The messages from Carter and his sister, were quite interesting and it was great to see Rodney and Ronon watch them together. I really hope you continue this story with Rodney and Ronon going to Earth and meeting Jeannie. Wanted to add that I really loved this story.

WowowowowowWOW! So great. Ronon's not terribly well fleshed out on the screen, but you made him real. And Rodney! ♥ I'm mainly a Sheppard/McKay fan, but Rodney/Ronon is my 2nd favorite and this was the best one I've read. I especially love how you wrote John. Wonderful fic!!

Curse your mad writing skillz!

When I started reading in SGA, my OTP was the same as the majority of fandom's (for a change). But your "Alpha Centauri" series single-handedly changed my OTP to Ronon/Rodney.

And I don't care, because you keep writing these beautiful, powerful stories. I love your characterizations of everyone, and the dynamic between Rodney and Ronon. I loved the wedding ceremony: swearing what you will not do, and that your spouse is the one you trust to take care of you when you're hurt and vulnerable. The Scorpion Project was brilliant, and I think you could write a whole gen story based on that idea alone.

I was saving this story to read, because I knew last week would suck, and I wanted something to look forward to. It was totally worth it. Also, I'm glad I waited because I never would have posted my flashfic after I read this--it would have seemed entirely unnecessary.

SOMEhow I missed this story, and I got to read it today and it was just so beautiful that it made me snivel like a girl, but I am a girl , so that's okay and girls DO like weddings, and the love scenes were just lushly sweet and the tapes from Sam and Jeanne were just aDORable and John is such a dick, I hug him forever and oh, Rodney and Ronon!

Every time I think I could not possibly love you more, you break out into new fabulousness.

You are so supreme.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! I like that you didn't make things too easy, too smooth, but you didn't make things hopeless either. And Cadman wondering if they were *really* having sex was just too weird, but in a great way.

I loved this. You so perfectly show why Sheppard's upset about Rodney and Ronon being together and how he's sort of subconsciously trying to break them up. And you show the intimacy between Rodney and Ronon without being shmoopy -- that both of them have a side to themselves that they only show the other. It's rare to find such well done emotional intimacy in fic.

Also, my favorite line ever:
From the first person to become as one flesh with Rodney McKay, to the second – I hope it takes you longer than two days to start contemplating suicide.

Oh yay! I loved this story beyond reason. Thank you so much for sharing it. I found it through a friend's del.icio.us bookmarks, and I have to go thank her too. This was just wonderful. :-D

So, I'm thinking the fact that I'm reading this in the middle of the night, when I should be sleeping gives you the first clue on how much I liked this.
This was brilliant, great, amazing and a bunch of other words that I'm sure you're more familiar with than me by now, since I'm guessing this isn't the first comment you've gotten concering this story.
I liked everything, but more than everything, I liked *everyone*. In some alternate universe this could so be an episode.
Rodney's trust issues, John's not-quite-but-*almost*-thing-for-Ronon(sure it's just team-stuff *sure*) Ronon was just perfect and even though I kinda missed Teyla a bit in this, the bits of her that I got were great. Everyone = leik teh lurve!
Love, love love!
Thanks!

Apparently it's my day to sit on the couch and read wonderful stories. In case I didn't tell you before, this one was particularly wonderful. "I was in Atlantis a month and a half before I even realized either of them thought they were being funny." Just, yes. And the Sheppard bits were great.

Oh wow. What a wonderful story, and what a wonderful, unapologetically human reading of Ronan. I'm glad I got here through a rec with no pairing label, because I'm usually quite leery of Ronan/anyone (yes, yes, ::ducks flying tomatoes from entire SGA fandom::) but this worked really well.

Oh hey, wow, what a wonderful story. I've been rapt all afternoon, and oh my God, it's 10:00 now. Such great humor and badinage, wonderful scenes, terrific characterization... Just awesome. Plus, all stops pulled out for the wedding reception! Cake! Both lemon and chocolate! Beyond awesome, and into stratospheric. I think I'm now a Ronon/Rodney shipper.

Thanks so much for writing this; I loved it unreservedly.

Funny, romantic, HOT HOT HOT, and just really beautifully done. I'm glad I found it and read it!

Rodney/Ronon is not even my pairing, but I loved this to pieces! I'm glad that Rodney decided to make it 'official'. Thanks for sharing this!

I just love this story. It makes me all warm and gooey inside :D

Its so nice to read a Rodney/Ronan fic that isn't just a dressed up PWP, but instead actually has heart and an actually storyline.

Any plans to write a follow up? *begs and offers cookies*

I really really loved this. Times infinity. Plus two. Which is a lot.

I thought it was very well written. It's a good story, a good idea, and very well played out. I liked your characterisations. I loved reading Ronon and Rodney, especially when they were together. They really did fit. Which is the one thing that's been puzzling me about this 'ship and why I like it so much. But I think that may be half of why they are so good together, 'cause they don't really fit. Anyway, yes, reading was fun, characterisations were good.

I felt really sad for Rodney every time he was self-deprecating. Then his and Ronon's little talk in the jumper after they came back made me feel better. Their entire time together in the beginning half of the fic was brilliant and squee worthy and hot and sweet and just excellent. Oddly enough, I think my favourite bit with them is when they're eating on Vacuna. So adorable. Actually, scratch that. My favourite bit with them is all the bits with them.

All I can say for Ronon is that he really did rock my socks. I love the way he treated Rodney, and I really can't pinpoint it, but he was just awesome. I loved him so much in this, it goes far beyond words. He was just so... guh! When they make a word for how fan-fecking-tastic he was in this, I'll tell you.

Rodney was hi-larious. ["You have a superhero name?"] *gigglesnort* He was quite brash in the beginning, but I thought, as the fic progressed, that he became less abrasive than he usually is. Which I quite liked. Being married to Ronon suits him ^^ He was quite the provider of the angst, and I like angst, so it was good. Because he had Ronon to comfort him. I love this pairing =]

Sheppard in the beginning was quite funny, but after the whole 'legally married' bit, he really started to piss me off. I hated him a bit for his little speech to the Marines, but in the end, I did understand why he was being the way he was being. I'm glad he got straightened out though.

And I'm glad I spent the majority of my afternoon reading this =D T'was well worth it and has made my day ^^ I've read a lot of your fic today (and yesterday) as I am quite enjoying my Rodney/Ronon fase, and I just wanted to say, I think your fic is very good, and I am now officially a fan ^^ Much love and good luck with future writings. I can't wait to read them. Anyway, you rock.

Jo

Thank you for all this feedback! I'm glad you liked the story and WILDLY glad you've developed affection for the pairing in general. They are a nice match, I think, because they both have this bedrock of utter honesty, and I think they appreciate people who are honest with them. I often write stories about people who screw each other up without meaning to, because good drama is full of people with problems, and people with problems don't always make the best boyfriends! *g* But the thing about Ronon and Rodney is, even though they do have problems, it's almost ridiculously easy to *fix* their problems in a story because, well, they communicate! Ronon in a few pithy words and Rodney in a great torrential downpour, but I can always count on both of them to just *say* what they want -- and then since they're also both lovely, kind people, to listen and then *do that.* They're kind of a ridiculously functional couple, so I get to let my inner Happy Story Writer run free.

And that's the short version of Why They Work for Me. *g* Thanks again for showing love to Hands of Yes and to Rodney/Ronon in general!

Wow. You know, this is really not my ship, at all. But you made me fall in love with it, and you made me cry over it.

Beautifully done, really. It's glorious.

This was my first venture into Ronon/Rodney territory, but what a venture it was! Truly an amazing story:) Where I am it is now three hours after midnight, and still I would love to read more if it were any. Great work.
