This was fabulous. I think your choice of POVs was very clever, and the whole progression of their relationship as seen in the two ways, through Rodney's eyes (and by proxy as Ronon sees it) and through John's eyes (and by proxy as the others in Atlantis see it), was just wonderful.

And hee, it's actually quite reasonable to get married for a bunch of secret data - no worse than for health insurance, anyway.

Well, that was one of my real interests writing this story -- why *do* people get married? The whole changing social and emotional functions of marriage genuinely fascinate me, particularly for queer couples, particularly cross-culturally, particularly in a science fiction context, all that kind of stuff. I'm glad you liked it!
