I really enjoyed your insights into bad marriages as well as marriage generally and also John's reactions. They were complex and I thought the argument scene was very realistic for the issues it raised about decisions.

Thank you! We're at such an interesting place in the way our society views marriage -- it's still so embedded into us culturally as the definition of a Happy Ending, and at the same time, most of us carry an enormous amount of cynicism about it. I think there's great potential to be explored, both between people and internally within a character; this was just one shot at it. Glad you enjoyed reading it!
