Therefore, while I battle it out with the life-eating AU I'm working on, I feel inspired to try something new to keep the wheels turning.

Oh my god! How can you only do the first three! If I was eligable for the Make-A-Wish-Foundation, I would totally ask for Alpha Centauri, lets see, six years down the line from "Vanilla."
