"Nothing," Rodney said quickly. "Except – you know, what if – she’s your Edith Keeler? Only...alive?" Sheppard gave him as disbelieving and contemptuous a look as he could manage through the comfortable haze of medication. "Well, you know what I mean. The whole – side by side – once in a lifetime – you know, like your Scully, your Rose– or, wait, no!" he realized, snapping his fingers eagerly. "Delenn! She’d be your Delenn."

I've only got this far into the story and I love you. I love you. I can't breath and I'm going to cry.

Rodney would be exactly that kind of fangeek, the kind who associates really big and meaningful things with fiction in opposition to real life. We recognize our own. *g*

I stopped watching X-Files right after this scene:

Mulder: I don't know if you noticed but, um, I never made the world a happier place.
Scully: Well, I'm fairly happy. That's something.

That's what kind of enormous romantic fool I am. I just didnt' give a hoot about the conspiracy whatever. I just wanted to know that Mulder knew that he'd made Scully happy.

I can't even begin to start to talk about how much John and Delenn's constancy and connection warmed my heart and I love the way you staged it from Kirk's Kirkness through Mulder and the Doctor's committed lack of commitment, their subtle proposition to Sheridan's faith and passion.

I liked the rest of your story very much, too, particularly Teyla.
