So at the pace of a glacier made of frozen molasses, I'm finishing off the stories I promised for the
choc_fic ficathon in September. I'm two down with only the Ford story left to finish, and I feel like I finally have a handle on that one, although there's a lot of stuff to get through to bring it to the point where I imagined it would be. Also, I've hit that place where I want to work on ANYTHING BUT the stuff I've been thinking about for three months, so it's having to battle for space in my head with the AlphaCen story and the MENSAverse story that are trying to take over.
In the meantime, though, I've gone ahead and added my first two
choc_fic stories to my webpage. They are:
I Love My Love
Thoughtcrimes, Freya McAllister/Brendan Dean
"It’s not too late. If you haven’t hurt Agent Dean, then– "
"Oh, Agent Dean," he said, sounding bored by the subject. "Yes, yes, I’ve been gentle as a lamb, I know how you are about him. Although I must say, getting to know him a little better hasn’t done a thing to help me understand why that is. Deep underneath all that shallowness, there’s a *vast*, untapped shallowness."
Quarterlife
VMars, Eli Navarro/Logan Echolls
Back in the day, he would have punched Logan right about now. He doesn’t have the energy for that anymore, and he’s made that clear already. He figured that conversation would be the last he ever saw of Logan Echolls, because he wasn’t going to kid himself: the fighting had always been his primary appeal. Logan had a waiting list three deep to fuck him, he didn’t need Eli for that.
