So basically, it works like this. The plot and all the really funny lines came from Caroline. Most of the sex and the talking about their feelings came from me. Rodney, Ronon, Sheppard, and everyone else in the story came from, I don't know, Cooper and Wright and some committee at Paramount. I don't even wanna know where Flesh Gordon 2: Flesh Gordon and the Cosmic Cheerleaders came from. liviapenn came from heaven above and delivered an excellent beta.

WARNINGS:
Mild s3 spoilers, including the usual for "Sunday." Swearing. Sex. Alcohol. Talking about feelings. Talking about Rodney's weight. Many, many italics. Sheppard using the word "penis" a lot. Manly tears -- no, just kidding about that one! There's no crying this time.

I thought this was a wonderful and unique story. I liked the way you dealt with Ronon's impotence through the lens of two very different cultures. I also liked that Ronon's situation didn't stop them from still having physical intimacy. I hate when things like no condom or no erection just halt sex right in its tracks, as if there's nothing else couples could enjoy together.

Just a lovely and intense story about my absolute favorite pairing.

I fall so damn hard for your Ronon, I swear. I realize that this is a cowritten story, for which I give mucho kudos to you both, but I am just as in love with this Ronon as I am with the Ronon in "Hands of Yes" and "Alpha Cen". And I adore the way you write Ronon and Rodney together. But just as much, I adore the way you write Rodney and John's friendship, because it is just perfectly them.

So thank you both for sharing this wonderful story. I enjoyed every last bit of it.

Wow. I am very fond of imperfect sex, of things going wrong and sometimes getting put right, and wow, this is fab. Not a huge SGA fan, but I know enough to appreciate it, to very much like the way that Ronan's company soothes Rodney, makes him appreciate the voyage as much as the destination. He couldn't have handled Ronan's explosion if he hadn't learned to trust both Ronan and himself.

Rodney put his hands lightly on the back of Ronon’s head and wanted fiercely to have the power to make Ronon feel half – half of what his most careless touch made Rodney feel.

This is my favorite line, because it's a summary for the entire fic. I simply love this, with the hotness and the empathy and Rodney wondering what the HELL. I also really like that it ends not on mutual orgasm, but on communication. Nice.

I *love* this. I love the non-angsty treatment of impotence, and the idea that not all cultures are hung up about it, and Ronon's feelings for Rodney, and John's discomfort, and the humor, and the sex, and omg this is awesome.

This was funny and painful yet satisfying in you not giving them the quick convenient fix. I like that. I like hard stuff remaining hard but with the hope that, with time and a little work, the problem will get resolved and they'll live happily ever after.

Wonderful! Perfect Rodney & Ronon and you really made them work together. I love the depth you gave Ronon, and the weight of his backstory. The kind of... innocence he has, if that's the right word. And I adore Rodney's arrogant uncertainty, it was just right.

Lovely, sweet, romatic story, sad and uplifting and just plain joyous at times. I would love more, while at the same time you ended it in just the right place. Hopeful and happy.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the story, and in particular the mood changes in it. That was one of the little challenges of the story -- how much of the humor of our original brainstorming sessions we could keep in (seriously, linabean is frigging *hilarious* -- if you've never read her episode reviews, you just don't know comedy!) and still get a believable, non-jarring transition into the harsher stuff about Ronon's issues at the end. Very nice to know that you appreciated both sides of the coin, and how they went together.

i'm really impressed, firstly with how you wrote their relationship - all the desire, and tiny details, it felt really real. and secondly how you took something that doesn't get written about much in fic, and made it honest and real.

i love that there was a difference (and maturity) in the way ronon was reacting to his situation. that he thought about it differently compared to rodney.

Thank you! I think when linabean pitched the idea to me, it really was the rarity of it that interested me -- I'm always interested in slash that steps out of the wish-fulfillment box and uses sex in ways that hits notes other than just the *guh* (not that there's anything bad about the guh!), but then particularly to do that story with Ronon, who gets stereotyped in fandom as this wildly sexual character when really, in canon, he's very noticeably not at all a wildly sexual person -- well, how could I resist that?

Anyway, I'm glad you liked it. I think it was a good venue to deal with the way that perspective is everything. Thanks for the feedback!

Sometimes I wonder where I've been when I read, and fall in love with, a story so many months after it was posted. There's not nearly enough McKay/Dex out there and this more than satisfies the itch. Wow.

Okay, normally I would never leave a "omg I never read this pairing but this was so good" feedback post, but I CAN'T HELP IT. I never read this pairing! The McShep is so obvious to me I've never been able to pull my head out of it long enough to read anything else. But, well, Ronon is ridiculously hot, and the "best damn romantic comedy about impotence you will read all year" tag line is HILARIOUS and catchy and made me very curious so I gave your 18,000 word fic a try. AND I LOVED IT. I loved it a lot. Ronon is hot like fire, and I love that he's kind of stupidly in love with Rodney without being able to say it, I love that he's weirdly fine with being impotent, because it'll work itself out eventually. I love that he's playful and smart and funny and HOT. And the end is pretty much made up of amazing.

I love this like mad. Rodney's reactions to it are so wonderful- in character for him and yet startlingly tender and really sincere. And good god, the scene right after the movie? Having to see Ronon suddenly see himself through those eyes- that sudden, slap-in-the-face revelation that he's a *laughingstock* is just horrible. And I mean "horrible" in the *best possible way*

Also? Sheppard's reactions are GOLD. He's so bad at being a supportive friend, and yet he tries so hard, you just want to pet him. "You broke him!" *dies*
